Dan has worked as a freelance writer for more than 15 years. He got his start writing reviews of Chicago taverns. For this, he earned a whopping $10 a review. Today, he makes a living from his writing, and has contributed to publications such as the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, BusinessWeek Online, Business 2.0 Magazine, Phoenix Magazine and Home Magazine. He’s also written for too many trade magazines to list, and is the managing editor of Midwest Real Estate News, a magazine serving commercial real estate professionals.
